This particular fan is the standard model that doesnt have an over run timer. The model of fan with the over run timer is VIT100TB (as shown in the drop down box on our website.)Alternatively you could buy part number MAN1361 (Remote Humidistat and timer, and you can have the added benefit of a humidistat to control humidity more accurately. Both items are currently in stock.Kind regards, Marc

i have an internal bathroom with a distance of 3.4m to my external wall is this fan sufficient for this purpose?

Yes it can be boxed in, providing you can get the ducting and wring to the fan ok. 3.4m Should be ok, as most mixed flow fan extract up to about 5m.Kind regards, Marc

My existing Silavent VIT100 (230v AC - 50Hz 35/25W IPX2, Dated 2007) ceased working, when i investigated i removed the cover to the small electronic timer box and noticed it has shorted out as there is black flash marks and residue on the plastic casing. I therefore intend to replace the whole unit.
For ease and convenience I would like the replacement unit to be identical to my existing model to make life simple for me so that i can wire it straight in.
Is the VIT100TB the closest replacement to my existing model, if so is wiring the unit in pretty much the same as how my exisitng model is wired?

Mixed flow fans allow air to flow in axial and radial direction in relation to the shaft. These fans are widely used in kitchens and bathrooms. It is common to find them on duct systems, which are characterized by high pressure, good air flow and very little noise. This product does not have a backdraught shutter but a quick search of QS256 will reveal one that will be compatible with the ducting for this unit

A Hello RobinIf you are asking whether there is a controller to run the fan in reverse the answer is no. The fan can be installed to either extract or supply but there is no reverse function.
can this fan sit anywhere on the 5m duct run or does it have to be fairly central 4?

A Hi AndyThe most advantageous position is central to the duct run however if installation is restricted offset will not overly affect performance, try to avoid placing too close to the extract or exhaust point.
