Hello,
This unit doesn’t have the option to activate via the lighting circuit or a switched light, like typical bathroom extractor fans. It’s usually used for background ventilation, providing heat retention and air circulation.
It might be better to consider a humidistat extractor fan with a trickle mode, which is a constant running fan that monitors humidity.

What is the minimum and optimum wall thickness required to fit this product. I dont want to see a unit sticking out of a wall as the wall is quite thin. Thanks

Is there an extension available for the Kair mini? Wall is 580mm thick.

The KSRHRV100-WH is a heat retention unit which has one motor that will supply fresh air for 70 seconds; stop, then extract for 70 seconds.The K-HRV150 has 2 motors running at the same time One supplying and one extracting.Both units are for bedrooms and living rooms primarily, and shouldnt be used as the primary source of ventilation in a kitchen. Can go in the bathroom, providing the bathroom is heated.Kind regards, Marc

Thanks for the questions.The unit is suitable in bedrooms and living rooms.The only sound data I can find it on low, which is 21dB.There is the Kair K-HRV150 which has a humidity sensor and also a Night sensor, which when set, will prevent the fan from boosting when it is dark, whilst still giving trickle ventilationThat would be the unit I would go for in a Bedroom to be honest.
