None of our PIV units are app controlled, as they generally get set up with the appropriate fan speed, and you leave them to run constantly, cleaning the filters every 12 months. There would be no reason to change any settings other than if the first speed you set it on isnt quite enough to clear condensation, then you will need to increase it by 1.As for the ducting, it cannot be extended. The length of ducting that comes with the unit is integral to how the unit performs. Adding extra ducting to it would a bad idea, as you wont get a great deal of air flow through it, due to extra resistences.Kind regards, Marc

The heater will only activate when the temperature in the loft has fallen below the threshold set point. The air in the warmer months will be warmer, as the temperature in the loft will be warmer. If the temperature gets too hot, the unit will go onto standby mode until it has fallen again, so prevent bringing on hot air.The unit cannot be split between 2 rooms, and doesnt need to be, as the diffuser will disperse the air into each room, as long as the interior doors are left slightly ajar.Kind regards, Marc

The unit will need replacement filters up to 5 years maintenance free. The filters are washable in luke warm water. I have spoken to Vent Axia and at the moment they do not have the price for the g4 filter as the unit has only just come out and filters will not be required as of yet.
