Lo-Carbon PoziDry Compact Pro PIV – The shoebox-sized PIV
The innovative new Lo-Carbon PoziDry Compact Pro is the ideal solution for combating condensation and mould in problem properties without a loft.
The unique PoziDry Pro Compact has been designed to be the smallest on the market, making it easy to install even in the tiniest apartments. Half the size of conventional boxed PIV units the PoziDry Pro Compact is still powerful enough to effectively tackle condensation and mould. With the unit’s cross-section measuring only 200mm by 200mm the PoziDry Compact Pro is so small that it can fit inside the decorative boxing that is used to cover its ducting.
For those properties that do not have a loft, the Lo-Carbon PoziDry Compact Pro provides an easy to install solution. The unit has been designed to be as small as possible with multiple inlet and outlet positions allowing it to be installed in the best place every time.
Air is drawn into the Lo-Carbon PoziDry Compact Pro unit via an external inlet and through a short length of duct. The specially developed power pack cartridge assembly draws the air through an integral, high capacity, washable filter. The precision-engineered scroll/impeller assembly and anti-vibration EPP body guarantee ultra-low sound levels and increased energy efficiency.
The fresh, filtered airflow passes along the ducting and enters the room through a discreet grille. The rotatable integrated grille can be turned to one of 8 positions ensuring that the airflow is always directed upwards, reducing cold draughts.
The system provides fresh, tempered air into the home and creates an indoor environment where the damaging effects of condensation find it hard to exist, benefiting both the occupants and the structure of the building.
Performance
If the ambient temperature exceeds 27°C, the Lo-Carbon PoziDry Compact Pro will automatically switch off to prevent over-heating. This temperature threshold can be adjusted at installation.
In the case of the integral 300W heater version, the heater element is automatically activated when necessary and tempers the supply air to a chosen temperature.
Peace of Mind
SmartSenseTM technology records usage, energy consumption and filter life to ensure the unit has been used as intended. This is secured by an installer enabled 3 digit settings lock to make the PoziDry Compact Pro tamper-free.

- Kair Circular Vent with Fly Screen (100mm) – You might need access to the vent as it might clog up over time and will require cleaning.

I have a chalet bungelow with a large sitting room, Kitchen and 2 further rooms downstairs, one of which seems to be very damp and gets little light and no sun. We have a loft conversion upstairs with a dorma room and two small rooms in the eves of the roof. Would this unit be suitable to ventilate the whole house? would we put it in the stair well or hall way? Thank Amanda

Thank you for your question.
This unit is designed to be installed in a well ventilated loft space with the diffuser situated in the hallway to filter the air into the property. If you are unable to install in the loft space and you have only one room that is suffering please have a look at our single room HRV unit which can be found on our web site product code QS2838, This unit is installed on an outside wall and extracts and supply's at the same time and has an night sensor so the unit will not boost while you are sleeping and is activated in the morning when the curtains/blinds are open.

Providing your loft space is well ventilated and the vents havent been blocked, then, yes it will help combat condensation.For best results, the interiors doors should either be left slightly ajar, or have a 10mm gap underneath.We would recommend installing it above the stairwell. That way, the airflow can disperser into all parts of the property. One final thing to consider; any furniture such as wardrobes or chest of draws, move them a little bit away from the walls to allow good airflow behind them.Kind regards, Marc

I have a few questions. Is this unit suitable for a small one bedroomed flat. Would the best place to fit be in a hallway where all doors lead off. Does it need an Isolation switch and direct connection to the Consumer unit. Would it be possible to plug in a socket. What size cable/lead does it require.

The unit should be installed in a central area such as the hallway you described and must be connected via a switched fused spur.
