Kair Stainless Steel Supply & Extract Vent

The Kair air valve is ideal for moderate ventilation in all rooms that have no special fire protection requirements, such as toilets, cloakrooms, bathrooms, en-suites along with heat recovery ducting systems.
Used for both supply and exhaust air, and being constructed of stainless steel with a brushed finish ensures it is weatherproof and suitable for use in outdoor areas.
The wide edge evens out potential bumps on the wall or diameters of the opening, with the corresponding mounting ring ensuring a stable hold in thin materials such as ceiling panels or metal ducts, whilst also serving as a connection piece to flexible tubes.
It has a male spigot for connection inside of the System 100mm duct and has a fully adjustable locking nut to fix the position of the controlled disc upon commissioning.
Supplied complete with a fixing body with pre-drilled holes for installation. Manufactured in compliance with Domestic Plastic Ductwork Specification DW/154 and does meet UL94HB flammability standard.

Could you please advise me if this is stainless steel silver in colour or more of a dark chrome as it looks in the picture?

We would generally recommend the metal extract vents for dry rooms and plastic for wet rooms.
my builder has installed one of each in my utility room and bathroom which are adjacent to each other.
1. is this just a vent or has it got an exhaust linked to it??
2. is this exhaust as effective as other bathroom exhaust like vent-axia 100 T

DO we need to buy the exhaust separately for it??answer nowA Hi SakshiThis product is just a metal extract point that would be connected to ducting (decorative means of covering the hole when an in-line fan is used as the means of extraction). These are usually located in the ceiling and the inside section can be opened (rotate anti clockwise) and closed (rotate clockwise).To test extraction ensure the vent is open and hold a sheet of A4 against it, if the paper holds there is extraction if it doesnt there may be some obstruction in the air path or the fan is not connected to the duct.

(We just require the grill) Thank youanswer nowA Hello Clive Most of the chrome grilles are circular an example of one can be seen by entering QS18230 in to the search bar, I have found a square (tile effect) facia (QS18571) but this also includes the fan and I do not think the facia is available as a spare part. There is also a steel extract valve (QS135) but again this is round. Typing chrome into the search bar will give you an overview of fans and facias that are available.

Hi does this come with a ceiling mount kit, we will have a flexible 125mm duct connecting to this, not a rigid duct for it to push in to.
Can you please advise if another part is required.

Thanks Garethanswer nowA Hello GarethThank you for your question. The back part of the grille screws off allowing you to fit it into the ceiling once fitted the front part will screw back on. The flexible ducting will fit onto the spigot as the pipe is female and the spigot is male and its secured with a metal hose clip.
