Vinyl Flexible Ducting Hose Uninsulated
- A highly flexible fabric ducting.
- Manufactured from a tough grey coloured PVC coated woven glass cloth fabric supported by an encapsulated high tensile steel wire helix.
- Suitable for applications where high strength and flexibility is required.
- Supplied in 6 metre lengths.
Constructed from a tough combination of PVC and glass cloth, the ‘Tecflex 800S’ grey uninsulated vinyl flexible ducting retains its flexibility whilst remaining incredibly hardwearing. It features a supporting wire helix incorporated within two layers of fabric, which accumulates 10-25% less resistance than the standard practice of having exposed internal supporting wire.
Suitable for use with high, medium and low-pressure ventilation, along with air conditioning and even some fume extract purposes.
One of the main benefits of Tecflex 800S is its ability to refrain from being damaged even after repeated bending and flexing, giving you the ability to place this ducting in tight areas that require many bends without fear of any pressure loss or damage to the ducting itself.
Tecflex 800S
complies with the requirements of HVCA specification
DW144 and is rated class O in accordance with BS476.
Construction
A tough grey PVC coated fabric is bonded to a tightly woven glass fibre cloth which provides flexible ducting that is not only highly flexible but also highly puncture resistant. The supportive high tensile steel wire helix is incorporated within two layers of the PVC fabric, which creates a smooth inner wall that creates little to no air resistance.
Flexibility
Flexibility and durability are two of the main deciding factors when purchasing flexible ducting. Tecflex 800S flexible ducting has tackled both of these factors by making use of careful manufacturing techniques to enable ducting that is able to be compressed down to 10% of its extended length, without sacrificing its strength and puncture resistance.
These features allow you to confidently install flexible ducting into confined spaces in much shorter timeframes.
Installation
With the ducting fully extended, measure and cut the exact length needed with a knife and wire cutters. Sealing of the ducting can be achieved with either: duct tape, sealant or an appropriately sized worm drive clip. A mixture of two of these would create an even tighter seal, for example using both a worm drive clip and duct tape to seal the ducting to a spigot or connector.
